"Perfect", a bonus track from The The's 1993 album Soul Mining, was added after their record company decided that seven tracks was one too little for an album.
It's hard to understand how Matt Johnson could be annoyed at having to include such a great song on the album. One can only guess he had earmarked it for their next release.
